SEASON 2 SHOWCASE#5

met carson, a powerhouse of a cell, and da homies, a powerhouse group

this showcase was the first time trying a new method, a more collaborative approach allowed us to figure out our new media style. working directly with the space and carson we moved fast and pivoting quick.

first, we didnt want to do a standard showcase. Carson first reached out to use around showcase #2 of this season and months of email tag finally came to when we set up an in person meeting. seeing the space and access to the surrounding community really motivated us for a big show. funny enough, during our selection process montaine made contact with dawit and sure enough he was planning on a final goodbye show headlining his artist group.

the plan was made to permit out the entire alley and ferdinand st to showcase live music and dozens of artists, through friends of carson we were able to get the permits but we didnt end up using them.

the quick action of cardinal with the deep connections of dawit and carson, we open the doors to an entirely new demographic, as this was the furthest south we have hosted a showcase. the event was great. open air gallery and amazing weather gave us all a relaxed feeling. everyone was having a great time enjoying the music, great food, and great art. it was a perfect double send off for everyone involved. deeply thankful to carson for the opportunity and the work that we will continue to do in the future. changes.
